This just in the Tea Baggers & Republicans have put their differences aside and decided to join forces under a new party name with a new party line.
United together as "The Ferengi Party" motto "Profit before People".

Wednesday’s ambush in Wisconsin made it clear that the Republicans are willing to do whatever it takes to force their radical right wing agenda on America’s struggling middle class. I won’t stand for Speaker Boehner and House Republicans moving in lockstep with the Wisconsin GOP to escalate their assault on working families.

We’re just $27,109 away away from raising an astonishing total of $200,000 in grassroots dollars for our GOP Accountability Fund since Wisconsin Republicans rammed through legislation stripping workers of their collective bargaining rights.

Contribute $5 or more before Midnight Tonight to help put us over the top of our $200,000 GOP Accountability Fund goal.

The actions of Wisconsin Republicans and their allies in Congress have shown they were never serious about reducing budget deficits. Instead of taking on taxpayer subsidies for their Big Oil backers, they are intent on taking away power from middle class workers. Now, the question is what are we going to do about it. Let’s stand together.

Subject:election results
Time:11:11 pm
I have never missed an election since I was 18, I always research what & who is on every ballot. I have been voting by mail since 1978. So when, I see comments here & there where people are thanking god for election results, like Patty Murray's win today, it kinda pisses me off. I didn't know god was a Washington state resident let alone the registered voter who cast the deciding vote. I would like to thank everyone who voted in this mid term election, and express my joy that Dino did not win.

blah blah blah...

Subject:Washington Decline to Sign Referendum 71
Time:10:59 am
There is a signature drive for referendum 71 to eliminate the Domestic Partnership Expansion Law of 2009 in Washington state. The new law gives many of the rights of marriage to same-sex couples, without changing the current state definition.

Protect equal rights pledge to decline to sign referendum 71.

Subject:Governor Gregoire signs the 2009 Domestic Partnership Expansion Bill

Protecting Washington's Families!

Governor Gregoire signs the 2009 Domestic Partnership Expansion Bill

TAKE ACTION>FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS

The Governor signed 2009 Domestic Partnership Expansion Bill, completing the Domestic Partnership System in Washington State. If the law is not repealed, Domestic Partnerships will provide the rights and responsibilities of marriage under Washington State Law (but not federal law). The bill signing was a really joyous occasion with over 300 people in attendence, many of them gay and lesbian parents with children. There were also a large number of LGBT firefighters, police officers, and paramedics--many with children--whose partners will now be entitled to equal benefits under state law.

Governor Chris Gregoire said: "This is a great day for the people of the state of Washington...  It is time for all of us here in Washington to stand up and say that we stand for justice. We will not accept intolerance or inequality in Washington State."

We couldn't have done it without our supporters in the Legislature and the Governor. Please take a moment to thank them for their votes and support of the 2009 Domestic Partnership Bill!

Sadly, even before the ink was dry on the bill, opponents of civil rights for Gay Washingtonians had filed referendum 71.  This is a good time to let your elected leaders know that you are declining to sign petitions for referendum 71 and are asking your friends and family to decline to sign.

Read more about the signing here.

Thank you for your ongoing support!

Subject:From a dear friend who is local to me:
Time:02:28 pm
Those of you who know me, know how proud I am of my Korean-American heritage. I'm proud of my background, my family, my culture ... although I am an American, I've never let my Korean identity get away from me. A lot of that is because I experienced a great deal of racism growing up in the US. When I was 6 my family moved to a small town in Illinois ... it was in the middle of no where. Everyday I came back from the school I'd be crying because I didn't understand the teachers, and the kids wouldn't play with me. Two years later my family moved to Washington, and it wasn't any better. You'd think living in a city like Lacey, right outside of Olympia, people would be a bit more progressive. But they weren't. I was surrounded by white kids and white teachers -- I didn't understand why they didn't want to speak to me and play with me, even though I had a near perfect grasp of the English language. It was rough having to grow up, pretending to be a white kid just to be even remotely accepted by society ... well, when I got older, I wised up. I realized that racism still thrives in our world today, and it's not hampered by our mass media ...

Which is why I implore all of you to please protest the film "The Last Airbender." As you may or may not know already, the main cast of the film is entirely white. Avatar, the Nickelodeon cartoon, is not a white show -- not in the slightest. If you haven't watched it, go watch it. You don't have to be Asian, Black, or White to understand that the show is based upon Asian cultures and has Asian/Inuit/Aboriginal characters as their protagonists. There are even instances of Korean culture mixed in that made me proud and happy that a show could truly understand the Asian culture. One of the main character's animal companions is named "Appa" or "dad" in Korean.

But I'm rambling ... here are some great resources if you want to help out:

Join the campaign if you want to help out ... it doesn't take a lot of time. And you'd be doing this world a big favor.
